Job summary

Marshalls plc in St Ives, Cambridgeshire, is recruiting a Production Operative to manufacture high-quality concrete products in a state-of-the-art dual-block plant. You will work with press machinery, hand tools, shot blast equipment and forklift trucks while maintaining a strong safety focus.

You will join a team with a personal development plan and salary progression through our grading structure, with rotating 12-hour days and nights. Training and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a busy Production/Manufacturing environment.
• Forklift license and experience would be advantageous.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a track record of working reliably within a shift based team structure.
• Effective communication skills (oral and written).
• Flexibility on shift rotation or night shift experience will be required.
• Computer user - basic knowledge required.
• Safe to Supervise or IOSH qualification would be advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture high-quality concrete products in a dual-block plant using the best technology and techniques.
• Operate press machinery, hand-powered tools, shot blast machinery, and mobile plant such as Forklift trucks.
• Work as part of a team with health and safety at the heart of daily tasks.
• Participate in personal development plans and salary progression through the grading structure.

So, what's the mission?

You will work as part of a team to manufacture high-quality concrete products in our dual-block plant using the best technology and techniques whilst ensuring you put health and safety at the heart of everything you do! You'll mainly work with concrete products, operating press machinery, hand-powered tools, shot blast machinery, and mobile plant such as Forklift trucks to move stock around the site. You will have your own personal development plan, to gain new skills and increase your salary through our grading structure.
