Job summary

Keystone Lintels is seeking an experienced Yard Team Leader to oversee daily yard operations, ensuring orders are prepared efficiently, stock is organised and safety standards are maintained. This hands-on leadership role requires clear communication and the ability to keep tasks moving in a busy environment.

You will lead the yard team, coordinate workloads, manage deliveries, and ensure accurate stock levels while promoting a safe, productive work culture.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a yard, warehouse, construction or manufacturing environment.
• Previous team leader or supervisory experience is desirable.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication and people skills.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Good attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure in a busy environment.
• Strong understanding of health and safety.
• Forklift experience/certification would be an advantage.

About the Role

Keystone Lintels is looking for an experienced and motivated Yard Team Leader to join our team. You'll play a key role in overseeing the day-to-day running of the yard, ensuring orders are prepared efficiently, stock is organised and the team operates safely and effectively.

This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for someone who can lead by example, communicate well and keep things moving in a busy working environment.

What you'll be doing

• Leading and supporting the yard team on a day-to-day basis
• Organising workloads and ensuring tasks are completed efficiently
• Coordinating the loading and unloading of deliveries
• Ensuring customer orders are picked, checked and prepared for dispatch
• Maintaining accurate stock levels and reporting any issues
• Ensuring the yard is kept clean, tidy and well organised
• Monitoring and maintaining high standards of health and safety
• Training, supporting and motivating team members
• Operating yard equipment safely and ensuring team members follow procedures
• Working closely with production, transport and management teams
• Helping to resolve day-to-day operational issues
• Ensuring company standards and procedures are followed at all times
