Job summary

Keystone Lintels is seeking a reliable Yard Operative to join our yard team in the UK. The role involves loading/unloading deliveries, moving stock, and preparing products for orders in a busy, physically demanding environment.

You will maintain a clean, safe yard and support the production team as required while following health and safety guidelines and operating yard equipment with training. A positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload deliveries safely and efficiently.
  • Move and organise stock and materials in the yard.
  • Prepare lintels and products for customer orders and dispatch.
  • Keep the yard tidy and well organised.
  • Check products before dispatch.
  • Support the wider yard and production team as needed.
  • Follow all health and safety procedures.
  • Operate yard equipment safely with proper training.

About the Role

Keystone Lintels is looking for a reliable and hardworking Yard Operative to join our team. This is a hands-on role within our yard, supporting the smooth and efficient movement, storage and preparation of lintels and materials.

You’ll be part of a busy team where safety, quality and teamwork are key. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a positive attitude and be comfortable working in a physically demanding environment.

What you’ll be doing
  • Loading and unloading deliveries safely and efficiently
  • Moving and organising stock and materials around the yard
  • Preparing lintels and products for customer orders and dispatch
  • Keeping the yard clean, tidy and well organised
  • Checking products and materials before dispatch
  • Supporting the wider yard and production team as required
  • Following all company health and safety procedures
  • Operating yard equipment safely following appropriate training
What you’ll need to succeed
  • A strong work ethic and a reliable approach to work
  • Good attention to detail
  • The ability to work well as part of a team
  • Good communication skills
  • A willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities
  • Previous experience in a yard, warehouse, construction or manufacturing environment would be an advantage, but full training will be provided for the right candidate
