Job summary

Travis Perkins is recruiting a Yard Assistant to support customer service at our Exeter branch. You will be based outside, processing orders, loading and unloading vehicles, and physically handling building products in a busy yard.

Full training is provided; experience with a forklift is ideal. You will help keep the yard safe and tidy, work with colleagues, and maintain a welcoming, customer-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Key customer-facing role requiring enthusiastic, friendly interpersonal skills.
• Confident with heavy and bulky stock within health and safety guidelines.
• Experience with forklift is ideal, but full training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Based outside, handling customer orders and loading/unloading vehicles.
• Unloading building products from supplier deliveries and booking them into the branch warehouse.
• Maintain a tidy, safe working environment with strong safety standards.
• Support colleagues in a dynamic yard environment.
