Job summary

Travis Perkins is seeking a Yard Assistant to support customers at our outdoor yard and process orders. You will help load and unload vehicles and stock, ensuring accurate booking into the branch warehouse and maintaining a clean, safe work area.

Training is provided for forklift use, and you will work in a fast-paced environment with a strong emphasis on excellent service and safety.

Qualifications

• This is a key customer-facing role requiring an enthusiastic and friendly demeanor.
• Able to handle heavy and bulky stock within health and safety guidelines.
• Comfortable working outdoors in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Process customer orders outside, loading and unloading vehicles for the yard.
• Unload building products from supplier deliveries and book them into the branch warehouse.
• Use forklift equipment as training is provided.
• Maintain a tidy, safe working environment and uphold safety standards.
