Job summary

Travis Perkins in the United Kingdom is seeking a Yard Assistant to support our busy branch operations. You will load and unload deliveries, process customer orders, and keep the yard and warehouse tidy in line with health and safety guidelines.

Based outside, you will work daytime hours (no evenings or weekends), with training provided for forklift use and a supportive development culture, plus benefits like pension, holiday, and staff discounts.

Qualifications

• Customer-facing role with enthusiasm and strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle heavy and bulky stock safely and in line with health and safety guidelines.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced branch environment.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload deliveries and company/customer vehicles.
• Process customer orders and accurately book stock into the branch warehouse.
• Maintain a tidy, safe working environment and comply with safety standards.
• Experience with forklift is ideal, but full training is provided.
