Job summary

Travis Perkins in Warrington is seeking a Yard Assistant to support our busy branch operations. You’ll process customer orders, load and unload vehicles, and help move building materials safely.

Based outdoors, you’ll unload supplier deliveries, log goods into the yard warehouse, and maintain a tidy, safe working environment in line with health and safety guidelines. Training is provided, forklift experience is a plus, and a friendly, proactive approach is valued.

Qualifications

• This is a key customer-facing role requiring enthusiasm and strong interpersonal skills.
• You will handle heavy and bulky stock in a fast-paced yard environment.
• Full training will be provided for safety and operating procedures.

Responsibilities

• Based outside, process customer orders and assist with loading and unloading vehicles.
• Unload products from supplier deliveries and book them into the branch warehouse.
• Maintain a tidy, safe working environment in line with health and safety guidelines.
• Experience with forklift is ideal but not required as training is provided.
