Job summary

Travis Perkins in Watford is seeking a Yard Assistant to help process orders, load and unload vehicles, and manage stock in our busy branch yard. You will be based outside and handle building products, with full training provided for forklift use.

Qualifications

• This is a key customer facing role; you will need to be enthusiastic and have great interpersonal skills.
• Be confident in your physical ability to process heavy and bulky stock within health and safety guidelines.
• Thrive in a dynamic and fast paced environment; be adaptable and resilient.

Responsibilities

• Based outside, processing customer orders, loading and unloading customer and company vehicles.
• Unload building products from supplier deliveries and accurately book them in the branch warehouse.
• Experience of using a forklift is ideal, but full training is provided.
• Maintain safety; keep a tidy and safe working environment.
