Job summary

Travis Perkins is looking for a Yard Assistant to join our outdoor yard team. You’ll process customer orders, load and unload vehicles, and help keep the branch warehouse tidy and safe.

Based outside, you’ll handle building products, receive supplier deliveries, and, while forklift experience is ideal, full training is provided. We offer 22 days’ holiday, pension contributions, discounts across the group, and sociable daytime hours.

Qualifications

• This is a key customer facing role requiring enthusiasm and strong interpersonal skills.
• Be confident in your physical ability to move heavy and bulky stock within health and safety guidelines.
• Thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and be adaptable.

Responsibilities

• Process customer orders in the yard.
• Load and unload customer and company vehicles.
• Unload building products from supplier deliveries and book them into the branch warehouse.
• Maintain a tidy and safe working environment with a strong safety focus.
