Job summary

Travis Perkins Trading Company Limited is seeking a Yard Assistant to support outdoor yard operations and provide excellent customer service at our Watford branch. You will assist with loading and unloading, book deliveries into the warehouse, and operate a forklift with full training provided.

You should be comfortable working outdoors, handling heavy goods, and maintaining safety standards in a dynamic environment.

Yard Assistant – Daily duties

• Help deliver the highest standards of service – be helpful and friendly at all times, getting to know customers on a first name basis.
• Be based outside, process customer orders, load and unload customer and company vehicles.
• Unload building products from supplier deliveries and accurately book them in the branch warehouse.
• Use forklift (full training provided).
• Maintain a tidy and safe working environment ensuring safety standards never slip.
• Be enthusiastic, confident in your physical ability to process heavy and bulky stock throughout the yard within health and safety guidelines.
• Thrive in a dynamic and fast paced environment, be adaptable and resilient.
