Job summary

Travis Perkins Trading Company Limited is seeking a Yard Assistant to support daily yard operations and customer service in a busy branch. You will load and unload vehicles, process orders, and maintain a safe, tidy yard with proper safety protocols.

The role requires physical stamina and the ability to work outdoors with a friendly, can-do attitude. Training for forklift use is provided, along with competitive pay, holidays, and pension benefits.

Yard Assistant – Daily duties

• Help deliver the highest standards of service – be helpful and friendly at all times, getting to know customers on a first name basis.
• Be based outside, process customer orders, load and unload customer and company vehicles.
• Unload building products from supplier deliveries and accurately book them in the branch warehouse.
• Use forklift (full training provided).
• Maintain a tidy and safe working environment ensuring safety standards never slip.
• Be enthusiastic, confident in your physical ability to process heavy and bulky stock throughout the yard within health and safety guidelines.
• Thrive in a dynamic and fast paced environment, be adaptable and resilient.
