Job summary

Travis Perkins Trading Company Limited is seeking a Yard Assistant to support our outdoor yard operations. Based on site, you will help deliver high standards of service by welcoming customers, processing orders, and assisting with loading and unloading vehicles.

You will unload building products, book stock into the yard, operate a forklift with full training provided, and maintain a tidy, safe environment.

Qualifications

• Forklift operation experience or willingness to train.
• Able to work outdoors in yard conditions.
• Physically fit to handle heavy stock.

• Be based outside, process customer orders, load and unload customer and company vehicles.
• Unload building products from supplier deliveries and accurately book them in the branch warehouse.
• Use forklift (full training provided).
• Maintain a tidy and safe working environment ensuring safety standards never slip.
• Be enthusiastic, confident in your physical ability to process heavy and bulky stock throughout the yard within health and safety guidelines.
• Thrive in a dynamic and fast paced environment, be adaptable and resilient.
