Job summary

Travis Perkins Trading Company Limited is hiring a Yard Assistant in the Wales region. You will support the branch by delivering great service, unloading and loading stock, and assisting customers with orders.

• Be based outside, process customer orders, load and unload vehicles.
• Unload building products from supplier deliveries and book them in the branch warehouse.
• Use forklift (full training provided).
• Maintain a tidy and safe working environment, following safety standards.
• Be enthusiastic and capable of handling heavy/bulky stock in the yard with safety in mind.

Yard Assistant – Daily duties

• Help deliver the highest standards of service – be helpful and friendly at all times, getting to know customers on a first name basis.
• Be based outside, process customer orders, load and unload customer and company vehicles.
• Unload building products from supplier deliveries and accurately book them in the branch warehouse.
• Use forklift (full training provided).
• Maintain a tidy and safe working environment ensuring safety standards never slip.
• Be enthusiastic, confident in your physical ability to process heavy and bulky stock throughout the yard within health and safety guidelines.
• Thrive in a dynamic and fast paced environment, be adaptable and resilient.
