Travis Perkins is seeking a Yard Assistant in the United Kingdom. The role involves processing customer orders, loading and unloading vehicles, and logging stock in the branch warehouse. You will work outdoors and handle building products, with safety as a priority.

Forklift experience is ideal, but full training is provided. Hours are daytime and the environment is dynamic and customer-focused. You will be part of a team that values friendly service and strong relationships with customers.

• Enthusiastic, friendly, and able to build rapport with customers.
• Confident in handling heavy/bulky stock and working outdoors.
• Willing to learn with health & safety guidelines.

Responsabilidades

• Process customer orders at the yard.
• Load and unload vehicles for customers and the branch.
• Unload deliveries and log stock into the branch warehouse.
• Experience with forklift is ideal, but training will be provided.
• Maintain a tidy, safe working environment and follow safety standards.

• Our success is built on strong relationships with our customers so it’s essential that you can help deliver the highest standards of service - the key thing is to be helpful and friendly at all times, you will likely get to know our customers on a first name basis.
• You will be based outside, processing our customer orders, loading and unloading customer and company vehicles.
• You will also unload our building products from supplier deliveries and accurately book them in the branch warehouse.
• Experience of using a forklift is ideal, but don't worry full training is provided
• Safety is at the forefront of everything we do, your aim will be to ensure that our standards never slip, this means maintaining a tidy and safe working environment

• This is a key customer facing role, so you will need to be enthusiastic and have great interpersonal skills.
• Be confident in your physical ability to process heavy and bulky stock throughout the Yard, within our health and safety guidelines.
• Thrive in a dynamic and fast paced environment, be adaptable and resilient.
