Job summary

Jewson in Totnes is recruiting a Yard Sales Advisor for a full-time role. The shift runs Monday–Friday 7:30–17:00 with alternate Saturdays 08:00–12:00, and involves welcoming customers, assessing needs, and delivering quick, friendly service in the yard, on the counter and on the shop floor.

You will assist with loading/unloading, restocking and stock control, while expanding knowledge of core and specialist products to meet customer requirements. A range of benefits accompanies this role.

Responsibilities

• Acknowledge every customer and ascertain their needs with quick, efficient service.
• Ask open questions to understand current and future customer requirements.
• Maintain high standards across yard, counter and shop floor.
• Operate machinery safely and assist with loading/unloading and stock tasks.
• Support sales initiatives to increase margin and service levels.
• Keep knowledge of core and specialist products up to date to meet customer needs.
• Manual forklift loading/unloading (training provided).
