Job summary

Global Ardour Recycling is seeking a reliable Recycling Operative to support daily operations at our Preston site. The role involves depolluting ELVs, removing and storing vehicle parts, and handling tyres and batteries in a busy outdoor environment.

Full training will be provided. You will work as part of a team, follow site procedures, and ensure health and safety policies are met while maintaining a clean, safe workspace.

Qualifications

• Outdoor work in a busy site environment.
• Heavy lifting and manual handling as required.
• Reliable and hardworking with strong work ethic.
• Good attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Depolluting End-of-Life Vehicles (ELVs).
• Safely removing and storing car and motorcycle parts.
• Removing tyres and batteries.
• Carrying out duties on the picking line.
• Undertaking banksman duties.
• Operating plant, equipment and forklift trucks where qualified.
• Completing paperwork accurately.
• Inspecting and maintaining plant and equipment.
• Reporting faults or defects immediately.
• Communicating with other teams and following site procedures.
• Maintaining a clean, safe working area.
