Job summary

Global Ardour Recycling is seeking a Recycling Operative for our Preston site. The role involves outdoor, hands-on work including depolluting ELVs, removing and storing vehicle parts, and operating plant and equipment. Training is provided where required.

Qualifications

• Must be comfortable working outdoors in a busy site.
• Physically able to perform heavy lifting and manual tasks.
• Reliable with a strong work ethic and punctuality.
• Demonstrates good attention to detail and accuracy.
• Works well as part of a team and follows instructions.
• Able to follow site procedures and health & safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Depolluting End-of-Life Vehicles (ELVs).
• Safely removing and storing car and motorcycle parts.
• Removing tyres and batteries.
• Carrying out duties on the picking line.
• Undertaking banksman duties as required.
• Operating plant, equipment and forklift trucks where qualified.
• Completing all paperwork accurately and on time.
• Inspecting and maintaining plant and equipment.
• Reporting faults or defects promptly.
• Data entry and checking in Excel for discrepancies.
