Job summary

Meridian Business Support is recruiting for Yard Operative positions on behalf of our client based in Rugby. This role involves hands-on work in a fast-paced warehouse and logistics environment, with a strong focus on hygiene, cleanliness and site presentation.

You will handle pallets, waste segregation, and general housekeeping while complying with health, safety and site procedures. Training is provided; forklift licences are preferred but not mandatory. Immediate start available.

Qualifications

• Experience within a warehouse, logistics, industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Forklift licence (CBFL) preferred but not essential.
• PPT licence preferred but not essential.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.

Responsibilities

• Sorting and organising pallets within the yard.
• Segregating waste and recyclable materials in line with site procedures.
• Maintaining tidy warehouse and external working areas.

Meridian Business Support is recruiting for Yard Operative positions on behalf of our client based in Rugby. We have opportunities available across both day and night shifts and are looking for reliable individuals who enjoy hands‑on work in a fast‑paced warehouse and logistics environment. Please note, this is a hygiene and housekeeping-focused role, with responsibilities centred around maintaining a clean, organised and safe site. As a Yard Operative, you will be responsible for ensuring high standards of cleanliness and organisation across the warehouse and external operational areas.

Duties

• Sorting and organising pallets within the yard
• Segregating waste and recyclable materials in line with site procedures
• Maintaining tidy warehouse and external working areas
• Sweeping floors and carrying out general housekeeping duties
• Assisting with trailer loading when required

This Yard Operative position involves a significant amount of housekeeping and waste management activity, so candidates should be comfortable working in a role where cleanliness and site presentation are key priorities.

Requirements

• Experience within a warehouse, logistics, industrial or manufacturing environment
• A valid Counterbalance Forklift Truck licence (preferred but not essential)
• A PPT (Powered Pallet Truck) licence (preferred but not essential)
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills

Full training can be provided for suitable candidates, including those looking to develop their forklift experience.
