Job summary

Meridian Business Support is recruiting for Yard Operative roles in Rugby. You will work in a fast-paced warehouse and logistics setting, focusing on hygiene and site presentation while performing yard housekeeping duties and pallet organisation.

The role offers day and night shifts, weekly pay, ongoing temporary work, plus induction and training. Prior forklift experience or licences are preferred but not essential; accommodation for skill development is available.

Meridian Business Support is recruiting for Yard Operative positions on behalf of our client based in Rugby. We have opportunities available across both day and night shifts and are looking for reliable individuals who enjoy hands‑on work in a fast‑paced warehouse and logistics environment.

Please note, this is a hygiene and housekeeping‑focused role, with responsibilities centred around maintaining a clean, organised and safe site.

As a Yard Operative, you will be responsible for ensuring high standards of cleanliness and organisation across the warehouse and external operational areas. Duties will include:

• Sorting and organising pallets within the yard
• Segregating waste and recyclable materials in line with site procedures
• Maintaining tidy warehouse and external working areas
• Sweeping floors and carrying out general housekeeping duties
• Assisting with trailer loading when required
• Following site health, safety and hygiene standards at all times

This Yard Operative position involves a significant amount of housekeeping and waste management activity, so candidates should be comfortable working in a role where cleanliness and site presentation are key priorities.

To be considered for this Yard Operative role, you should ideally have:

• Experience within a warehouse, logistics, industrial or manufacturing environment
• A valid Counterbalance Forklift Truck licence (preferred but not essential)
• A PPT (Powered Pallet Truck) licence (preferred but not essential)
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills
• Full training can be provided for suitable candidates, including those looking to develop their forklift experience.
