Job Title: General Yard Operative

£12.72 per hour (Overtime rate at £15.90 after 45 hours)

Employment Type:

Full-Time, Temporary to Permanent

Shift Pattern:

Monday to Friday, day shift - 45 hours a week

Transport:

Own transport required due to the location and shift times

Role Overview

Gap Personnel is recruiting reliable and hardworking General Yard Operatives to join a well-established Environmental and Waste company in Norfolk. This role involves working in a hands-on role in a fast-paced environment. As a General Yard Operative, you will be responsible for ensuring operations run smoothly and maintaining the highest standards of safety in line with industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Loading, unloading, processing, and transporting a variety of materials.
2. Conducting regular checks on machinery and work areas.
3. Assisting customers on site and offering excellent customer support and care.
4. Supporting with reporting and paperwork as necessary.
5. Following all health and safety procedures.

2. Comfort with working in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
3. Reliable and punctual, with the ability to work varied shifts.
4. Own transport is required due to the location and shift times.
