We are looking for a Yard Operative to join us at Huws Gray Brentwood!

If you’re in the trade or have ever tackled a home improvement project, you’ve probably heard of us. We’re the Huws Gray Group, comprising brands like Huws Gray, Hirebase, Civils & Lintels, The Timber Group, PDM, NDI, and Anglia Tool Centre. As a Yard Operative, you will provide excellent customer service through product knowledge and ensure stock is ready for deliveries and collections. Working in our branch, you’ll be part of a team committed to offering outstanding service and completing tasks efficiently.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Serving customers in the yard and advising on suitable products for their projects
2. Supporting incoming deliveries, organizing stock, and maintaining a tidy yard in line with Health & Safety guidelines
3. Assisting drivers with loading and unloading vehicles as part of a team
4. Protecting stock against loss and theft by being security conscious

We value individuality and provide comprehensive training and tools to help you succeed. A forklift licence is advantageous but not essential.
