Yard Operative – Builders Merchant | Huddersfield (HD1) | Permanent & Temp-to-Perm Roles Available

Are you hands-on, reliable, and ready to get involved? We're looking for a Yard Operative to join our busy Builders Merchant team in Huddersfield. A UK Driver's Licence and a valid Forklift Truck (FLT) Licence are essential. If you meet these requirements, we want to hear from you!

Salary: £12.21 per hour (Mon - Fri, 07:30-17:00); £18.31 per hour on Saturdays (1 in 4, 08:00 - 12:00).

Responsibilities:

1. Loading and unloading building materials
2. Operating forklifts and yard equipment (loader/combi lift experience is a bonus)
3. Maintaining an organised, tidy, and safe yard
4. Assisting customers and delivery drivers
5. Heavy lifting and physical work are required

Working Hours:

• Monday to Friday: 07:30 – 17:00
• 1 in 4 Saturdays (paid at time and a half)
• Optional overtime available
