Job summary

Interaction Recruitment is seeking a reliable Yard Operative for our client in Baldock. The role involves sorting and handling recyclable materials on a busy line, keeping the yard tidy and safe, and supporting site operations.

Work is full-time hours, Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 5:00pm, with a 1-hour unpaid lunch break. The position is temporary ongoing with parking available on-site and a focus on safety and teamwork.

About the Role

Our client is currently recruiting for reliable and hardworking Yard Operatives to join their busy waste and recycling operation based in Baldock.

This is an ongoing temporary position working on a busy recycling picking line. You will be responsible for sorting and separating recyclable materials, removing non-recyclable items and supporting the smooth running of the site.

The role is physically demanding and involves working on your feet for the majority of the day in an industrial environment.

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience in recycling, waste management, warehouse, manufacturing or yard environments is beneficial but not essential.
• Physically fit and comfortable carrying out manual work.
• Comfortable working on a picking line for extended periods.
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
• Able to work well as part of a team.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Good understanding of workplace health and safety.
• Must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to your own transport.
