Job summary

Manheim Auction Services in Northampton is seeking an Operations Assistant to support daily yard operations, ensuring safe and timely movement of vehicles and adherence to HSE standards. The role involves organizing vehicles for auction, handling collection and delivery tasks, and maintaining accurate pre-sale documentation.

You will work a 40-hour week (Mon-Fri) with a starting salary of £27,411 per year, and benefit from Cox Automotive's inclusive workplace culture and career progression

Qualifications

• Adhere to health and safety regulations and site guidelines.
• Basic understanding of Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) legislation.
• Able to confidently operate required technology and hardware for key processes.
• Able to drive a wide range of vehicles with different ignition systems and transmissions.

Responsibilities

• Organise and present vehicles for auction in line with company and vendor standards.
• Safely drive vehicles as instructed, including collection and delivery tasks.
• Arrange and manoeuvre vehicles for a clean, professional, and orderly yard layout.
• Ensure vehicles have accurate pre-sale documentation.
• Drive responsibly following site rules and health and safety procedures.
• Support the valet team by locating and moving vehicles as needed.
• Promote a safe working environment and report concerns.
• Assist with vehicle imaging to ensure high-quality visuals.
• Contribute to vehicle pre-inspection activities for auction.
• Support additional operational tasks to deliver efficient services and enhance customer experience.
• Operate entry/exit points and manage key handling per policies.
• Maintain a calm, courteous, professional demeanor with customers and colleagues.
