Job summary

Travis Perkins is seeking a Yard Assistant to support outdoor yard operations and customer service at our Bournemouth branch. You will process orders, load and unload vehicles, and help unload deliveries while maintaining safety standards in a busy outdoor environment.

You will require good interpersonal skills and a can-do attitude; forklift experience is beneficial, though full training is provided. The role offers sociable daytime hours and opportunities for development within the group.

Qualifications

• Able to work outdoors in all weather
• Experience delivering high standards of customer service
• Comfortable handling heavy and bulky stock within safety guidelines
• Forklift experience is helpful but training provided

Responsibilities

• Process customer orders at the yard outside
• Load and unload customer and company vehicles
• Unload building products from supplier deliveries and book them into the branch warehouse
• Follow safety procedures to maintain a tidy, safe working environment
• Assist with stock movement and general yard duties
