Job summary

Travis Perkins in the United Kingdom is seeking a Yard Assistant for our branch network. You’ll be based outside, handling customer orders, loading and unloading vehicles, and unloading building products from deliveries.

You’ll need to be friendly, physically able to move heavy stock, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Forklift experience is preferred, but full training is provided, with a competitive salary and benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be enthusiastic with strong interpersonal skills.
• Able to lift heavy and bulky stock.
• Comfortable working outdoors and in daytime hours.

Responsibilities

• Process customer orders on site.
• Load and unload customer and company vehicles.
• Unload building products from supplier deliveries and book them into the warehouse.
• Maintain a tidy and safe working environment and follow health & safety guidelines.
