Job summary

Cranswick Country Foods Fresh Poultry in Eye, Suffolk is seeking a Yard Operative to join the Despatch team. The role focuses on forklift operations, loading/unloading, and daily equipment checks in a busy yard environment.

Working pattern: Monday-Friday, 18:40-03:10. Salary starts at £16.22 per hour with attendance bonus, plus pension and wellbeing benefits. On-site role with free parking and canteen facilities.

Qualifications

• Counterbalance forklift licence is essential.
• Telehandler licence preferred.
• Shunter/HGV licence essential.

Responsibilities

• Operate Counterbalance forklift or other hand truck.
• Operate Telehandler to move and tip dolavs into a trailer.
• Operate Shunter truck to move trailers on/off loading bays and in Offal area.
• Weigh Offal trailers on the weight bridge to maintain trailer fill.
• Record daily checks and trailer lists.
• Follow quality and customer service standards.
• Perform daily equipment counts.
• Unload/load deliveries of pallets, dolavs, trays.
• Inspect and maintain counterbalance, telehandler and shunter.
• Clean as you go and prepare yard for all weather conditions.
