Job summary

Cranswick Country Foods Fresh Poultry in Eye, Suffolk is seeking a Forklift Operative to join the Despatch team. You will load/unload, operate machinery and maintain daily equipment counts.

Requirements include Counterbalance Forklift Licence (essential) and Telehandler Licence (preferred). The role offers a competitive rate and benefits package including pension, wellbeing discounts and cycle to work schemes.

Qualifications

• Counterbalance forklift licence is essential.
• Telehandler licence is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate Counterbalance forklift or other hand truck.
• Operate Telehandler to move and tip dolavs into a trailer.
• Operate Shunter truck to move trailers on/off loading bays and in the Offal area.
• Weigh Offal trailers on the weight bridge to maintain trailer fill.
• Record daily checks and trailer lists.
• Follow quality and customer service standards.
• Perform daily equipment counts as required.
• Unload/load deliveries of pallets, dolavs and trays.
• Inspect and perform maintenance of counterbalance, telehandler and shunter.
• Use a compactor and regularly empty rubbish bins.
• Keep the yard clean with litter picking and pressure washing.
