Pertemps Maidstone in Paddock Wood, Kent is seeking a reliable Yard Operative with a valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence to join our client in Paddock Wood. The role involves loading and unloading, moving stock and materials around the yard, and general yard duties in a busy heavy industrial environment.

This temporary position offers a pay rate of £13.21 per hour, with immediate starts for suitable candidates and potential for temp-to-perm for the right person.

Qualifications

• Counterbalance forklift licence valid and in date.
• Experience as Yard Operative, Forklift Driver, FLT Driver or Warehouse Operative.
• Happy to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Physically fit with manual handling ability.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Counterbalance Forklift Truck (FLT).
• Load and unload vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Move stock and materials around the yard.
• Assist with goods in and goods out operations.
• Carry out general yard duties and housekeeping.
• Work both indoors and outdoors as required.
• Support warehouse and production teams when needed.

Pay Rate: £13.21 per hour

Job Type: Temp ongoing or temp to perm for right candidate

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Yard Operative to join our client in Paddock Wood. This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and hardworking Yard Operative who holds a valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence and is comfortable working in a busy, heavy industrial environment.

Yard Operative Duties:

• Operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck (FLT)
• Loading and unloading vehicles safely and efficiently
• Moving stock and materials around the yard
• Assisting with goods in and goods out operations
• General yard duties and housekeeping
• Working both indoors and outdoors as required
• Supporting warehouse and production teams when needed

Yard Operative Requirements:

• Valid and in-date Counterbalance Forklift Licence
• Previous experience as a Yard Operative, Forklift Driver, FLT Driver, or Warehouse Operative
• Happy to work outdoors in all weather conditions when required
• Comfortable working in a heavy industrial environment
• Physically fit and capable of manual handling duties
