Job summary

Adecco Romford & London East is seeking experienced Counterbalance Forklift Drivers for a busy yard operation in South Ockendon, Essex. Temporary or temp-to-perm roles available with day and night shifts.

Two pay rates apply: £17.05 per hour (days) and £18.89 per hour (nights), plus holiday pay and benefits. Own transport is advised due to location and shift times.

Qualifications

• Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence (RTITB or ITSSAR accredited).
• Experience operating heavy-duty forklifts (4.5 Ton or above) preferred.
• Able to use double/triple fork attachments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate a 4.5 Ton Counterbalance Forklift with triple forks to move, stack and organise pallets.
• Load and unload pallet stacks from HGVs and delivery vehicles.
• Safely transport and store pallets within the warehouse and yard.
• Carry out daily forklift safety checks and basic maintenance where required.
• Assist with manual handling and warehouse duties as needed.

Shift Pattern (Days): 6am-2pm/ 2pm-10pm (weekly rotation)

Pay: £17.05 per hour + Holiday Pay + Benefits

Shift Pattern (Nights): 10pm-6am

Pay: £18.89 per hour + Holiday Pay + Benefits

Due to the location of this client and the shift times - it is best suited to applicants with their own transport

Requirements

• Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence (RTITB or ITSSAR accredited)
• Previous experience operating heavy-duty forklifts, ideally 4.5 Ton or above
• Experience using double or triple fork attachments would be advantageous
• Good understanding of warehouse operations
• Physically fit and comfortable carrying out manual handling tasks in a fast-paced environment
