Job summary

Cawingredients Limited, based at a state of the art production and warehousing facility in North Yorkshire, is hiring a Facilities and Yard Operative. The role is 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday, and requires a Counterbalance license with experience in fast-paced warehousing/distribution.

You will unload and check returnable equipment, assist with site services and environmental duties, and help maintain a clean, safe yard and waste management operation.

Qualifications

• NVQ or equivalent qualification in warehousing/distribution.
• Experience in FMCG environment.
• Counterbalance license.
• Experience in demanding environments.

Responsibilities

• Unload deliveries of returnable equipment and store safely.
• Check deliveries against documentation and manifests.
• Move equipment and support factory operations as required.
• Coordinate waste removal and recycling consignments.
• Maintain waste container capacities and move containers as required.
• Clean and maintain the compaction/bailer area; report faults.
• Assist environmental audits and with site services when needed.
• Assist with snow/ice clearance and gritting.
• Oversee hazardous waste area and management before collection.
• Yard cleaning and basic maintenance tasks.
• Washing drums prior to recycling.
• Take samples from the Effluent plant when required.
