Job summary

Coinford Holdings Ltd is seeking a yard operative based in Smallfield to support loading, unloading and stock handling on a full-time basis. The role requires careful adherence to safety policies and procedures, with responsibilities spanning from checking in returns to coordinating with the transport team.

The position involves working a 45-hour week, Monday to Friday, and ensuring that loads are prepared accurately, safely, and efficiently to meet daily operating targets.

Responsibilities

• Ensure working in a safe environment and that Company Health & Safety systems are followed.
• Maintain yard housekeeping to the highest standard.
• Ensure equipment is fit for purpose and loads are safe for moving around the yard.
• Carry out repair work on non mech items as deemed necessary and control repair costs.
• Report stock issues to Hire Desk at earliest opportunity and liaise with transport department.
• Ensure unloading is carried out efficiently and promptly and complete returns check ins accurately.
