Job summary
Jewson, part of Stark UK, is seeking a dedicated Customer Service role in Farnborough for a full-time schedule. Work Mon-Fri (6:30-16:00 or 7:30-17:00) and alternate Saturdays (07:30-12:00). Start date 1 February 2027.
You will welcome customers, identify needs and deliver efficient service across yard, counter and shop floor. You'll develop product knowledge, support sales, and learn safe loading/unloading with forklift training.
Qualifications
- Excellent customer service skills with ability to build relationships.
- Willingness to learn product knowledge and upsell.
- Ability to operate yard and handle loading/unloading safely (training provided).
Responsibilities
- Acknowledge every customer, ascertain their needs and wow them with quick and efficient service.
- Ask open questions to build relationships and understand current and future requirements.
- Maintain excellent standards across the yard, counter and shop floor.
- Operate machinery safely and carry out offloading, picking, packing, restocking and loading vehicles.
- Support business initiatives to increase sales, margin & service as required.
- Continually develop knowledge of core and specialist product lines to meet customer needs.
- Loading and unloading vehicles both manually and with a forklift (training provided).
