Job summary

Freightliner Group is seeking a Multi Skilled Operative in Southampton. You will load and unload HGVs, shunt containers and operate container-handling equipment using our in-house systems.

Training is provided as no prior experience is required, and a full UK driving licence is essential. You’ll work 50 hours weekly on a rotating schedule from 6am to 4pm, with opportunities to grow within a safety-first environment.

• Full UK driving licence is essential

Responsibilities

• Load and unload HGV vehicles in the yard using lifting equipment
• Stack and move shipping containers in the yard
• Shunt containers to and from the terminal
• Operate container-handling equipment safely and effectively
• Communicate with yard team and terminal coordinators for timely container availability
• Maintain high health and safety standards at all times -- hold a full UK driving licence
• Demonstrate commitment to safe working practices
