Job summary

Freightliner is seeking a Multi Skilled Operative in Southampton to support loading and unloading HGVs in the yard, shunt containers, and operate lifting equipment. The role involves working with a team on a rotating schedule and requires a strong commitment to health and safety.

Full UK driving licence is required; previous forklift experience is not essential. Comprehensive training will be provided, and DBS checks may be required.

Qualifications

• Hold a full UK driving licence.
• Strong commitment to health and safety practices.
• Willingness to work in a team and support operations.

Responsibilities

• Service loading/unloading of HGVs in yard using lifting equipment.
• Shunt containers to and from the terminal.
• Move and stack shipping containers safely and efficiently.
• Operate container-handling equipment to support yard operations.
• Coordinate with yard team and Terminal Coordinators to ensure containers are ready.
