Job summary

John Davidson Pipes in Cardiff is seeking a hardworking Yard/Branch Assistant to join our team. You will provide excellent customer service, help with stock, and support branch operations.

The role involves loading and unloading with a forklift, processing orders accurately, serving customers at the trade counter, and ensuring safety and efficiency on a daily basis, with a forklift license preferred.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Literacy and numeracy abilities.
• Hardworking and helpful with a willingness to train.
• Understanding of health and safety in a work environment.
• Experience in warehousing and basic computer literacy; forklift license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Providing customers with product and service information.
• Pick customer orders accurately.
• Assist with loading and unloading of vehicles using a forklift truck.
• Process orders accurately, within a time dictated by the customer deadline.
• Serve customers on the trade counter when required.

We are actively looking to appoint a Yard/Branch Assistant to join the successful team in our Cardiff branch. If you are a hardworking, flexible individual who can work as part of a team and provide excellent customer service, this may be the perfect opportunity for you!

In this role as a Yard/Branch Assistant your duties will involve:

• Providing customers with product and service information
• Pick customer orders accurately
• Assist with loading and unloading of vehicles using a forklift truck
• Process orders accurately, within a time dictated by the customer deadline
• Serve customers on the trade counter when required

You will come to us with:

• Excellent communication skills and some customer service skills
• Literacy & Numeracy
• A hardworking & helpful individual to train in all aspects of our operation
• An understanding of Health & Safety in a work environment
• Experience in Warehousing
• Basic knowledge of computers
• Forklift truck licence
