Job summary

Lloyd Ltd is seeking a Yard Assistant in Cheshire to join a busy team. The role involves yard organisation, machinery valeting, and handling deliveries and stock movements in a fast-paced outdoor environment.

You will work 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with overtime opportunities available. The position offers continuous training, generous leave, pension, staff discounts, and wellness support.

Qualifications

• Experience in a yard environment or driving agricultural machinery.
• Tachograph card is desirable.
• Works well in a team and can use own initiative.
• Organised and able to manage a varied workload.
• Holds a full UK driving licence.
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Assist with organisation and maintenance of the yard, keeping it clean, tidy and safe.
• Valet machinery and equipment for customers.
• Complete collections and deliveries of machinery.
• Coordinate stock management, including receipt, storage and movement of machinery.
• Handle paperwork related to stock, sales and delivery/arrival of machinery.
• Organise external transport of machinery when required.

We’re looking for a Yard Assistant to join our busy and friendly team at Lloyd Ltd Cheshire.

What you’ll be doing:

• Assisting with the organisation and maintenance of the yard, ensuring it is clean, tidy, and safe at all times.
• Valeting a range of machinery and equipment for our customers.
• Completing collections and deliveries of machinery.
• Co-ordinating stock-management, in particular the receipt, storage and movement of machinery.
• Completing paperwork and office duties relating to stock, sales and the delivery and arrival of machinery.
• Organising external transport of machinery, when required.

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has previous experience in a yard environment or in driving agricultural machinery.
• Holds a tachograph card (desirable).
• Works well as part of a team but can also use their own initiative.
• Is organised and able to manage a varied workload.
• Has a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Holds a full UK driving licence.
