PPM Recruitment is recruiting Food Service Assistants to work within a healthcare catering environment at Ascot. We are looking for reliable, hardworking and enthusiastic individuals to support the catering team with the daily running of the dining area.

• Serving food and beverages to customers.
• Cleaning and maintaining the dining room to a high standard.
• Washing up crockery, cutlery and kitchen equipment.
• Keeping dining and service areas clean, tidy and hygienic.
• Following food hygiene, health and safety procedures.
• Supporting the wider catering team with day-to-day duties.
• Ensuring a friendly and professional service at all times.

Job description

X2 Food Service Assistant - Ascot

Pay Rate: up to £14.24p/h inc. hol. pay

Contract: 6 months

Shift Patterns Available

There are two shift patterns available at the same location:

• Morning shift: Monday to Friday, 8:30am-2:30pm (30 hours per week).


• Afternoon/evening shift: 12:00pm-8:00pm (40 hours per week, across the required working days).

Enhanced DBS check with the relevant children's workforce check required.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Serving food and beverages to customers.


• Cleaning and maintaining the dining room to a high standard.


• Washing up crockery, cutlery and kitchen equipment.


• Keeping dining and service areas clean, tidy and hygienic.


• Following food hygiene, health and safety procedures.


• Supporting the wider catering team with day-to-day duties.


• Ensuring a friendly and professional service at all times.

Requirements

• Previous catering, hospitality or food service experience is desirable but not essential.


• A reliable, punctual and hardworking attitude.


• Good communication and teamwork skills.


• Ability to work in a busy environment.


• A commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.

Compliance and Training

Successful candidates will receive a site-specific health and safety induction and guidance on their duties. Personal protective equipment will be provided where required, excluding compliant safety footwear where applicable.
