Job summary

21 Health and Social Care are recruiting a Wraparound Support Worker to work with children, young people and families across Scotland in community settings. You will provide 1:1 and family-based support, helping families navigate services and build resilience.

Suitable candidates will have experience in care or family support, strong communication skills, and a flexible approach including evenings or weekends. A trauma-informed, child-centred mindset and knowledge of safeguarding are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children, young people, or families in a care, support, or community setting.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work flexibly, including evenings or weekends if required.
• A trauma-informed, child-centred approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and family-based support to children and young people.
• Deliver practical, emotional, and behavioural support in home and community settings.
• Work collaboratively with families to identify strengths and set achievable goals.
• Support routines, boundaries, education engagement, and emotional regulation.
• Liaise with professionals including social work, education, health, and third-sector services.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to care and support plans.
• Promote safeguarding, wellbeing, and positive outcomes at all times.
