Job summary

Wellesbourne CE Primary School is seeking a dedicated Wraparound Worker to provide safe, engaging breakfast and after-school sessions for young children. You will help supervise activities, support children’s development and foster positive relationships with families within a nurturing school community.

The role focuses on creating a warm, inclusive environment, promoting wellbeing and safeguarding while delivering a range of age-appropriate, stimulating activities for Reception and younger

Qualifications

• Experience in EYFS essential.
• Experience with primary-aged children preferred.
• Warm, caring and enthusiastic approach.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Able to use initiative and remain calm under pressure.
• Committed to safeguarding and promoting welfare of children.
• Holds a childcare qualification (desirable but not essential).
• Experience in school, nursery, childcare or wraparound setting.

Responsibilities

• Supervise children at breakfast and after-school club, ensuring safety and wellbeing.
• Deliver a range of engaging activities promoting creativity, physical activity and social development.
• Support children with age-appropriate experiences and interactions.
• Foster positive behaviour and help children develop confidence, independence and resilience.
• Prepare and serve healthy snacks; maintain high food hygiene standards.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.
• Maintain accurate registers; follow safeguarding and school policies.
• Set up and tidy away equipment each session.
• Support children with additional needs where required.
• Create a warm, inclusive and nurturing environment reflecting school values.
