Job summary

Protocol Education is recruiting for Wrap Around Care Playworkers to support primary schools across Wandsworth, London and surrounding areas. Roles include Breakfast Club and After School Club duties with potential holiday hours.

The ideal candidate may be a qualified childcare professional or someone with hands-on experience with children, ready to contribute to safe, fun environments.

Qualifications

• Qualified candidates include Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years Educators and other childcare qualifications.
• Unqualified candidates with experience working with children in schools, nurseries or clubs are welcome.
• All applicants must meet appropriate qualifications and training requirements.

Job description

Are you passionate about working with children and creating fun, engaging experiences outside of the classroom? We are currently recruiting Wrap Around Care Playworkers to support a variety of primary schools across Wandsworth.

We are keen to hear from both qualified childcare practitioners and enthusiastic unqualified candidates with experience working with children.

Available Hours

Breakfast Club

• 7:30am - 9:00am

After School Club

• 3:00pm - 6:00pm

Holiday Clubs

• Additional hours may be available during school holidays.

The Role

As a Playworker, you will be responsible for creating a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable environment where children can learn, play, and socialise.

Duties include:

• Supervising children before and after the school day.
• Planning and leading engaging games, activities, and creative play sessions.
• Supporting children's social, emotional, and physical development.
• Encouraging positive behaviour and inclusion.
• Assisting with snack time and daily routines.
• Ensuring safeguarding and health & safety procedures are followed at all times.

Who We're Looking For

Unqualified Candidates

• Experience working with children in schools, nurseries, holiday clubs, sports clubs, youth groups, camps, or similar settings
