Barnehurst Infant School in Erith is seeking a warm, organized Wrap-around Care Supervisor to run the breakfast and after‑school club for children aged 4 to 11 across the federation. You will lead a small team, supervise activities, and ensure every child feels safe, settled and happy before drop‑off and after pick‑up.

This term‑time role runs five mornings and five afternoons each week with training provided.

Formación

• Experience of working with children in a school, club, nursery or similar setting.
• Some experience supervising or organising others, formally or informally.
• A calm, patient and positive manner, with clear and fair expectations of behaviour.
• Good communication skills with children, parents and colleagues.
• Good organisation and record-keeping, and confidence using basic IT.
• A clear understanding of safeguarding matters, and a commitment to acting on concerns.
• Reliability and good time-keeping (the club runs to fixed times every day).
• Level 2/3 childcare qualification and related certifications are advantageous.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the daily running of breakfast and after-school club, including registers and collection procedures.
• Plan and organise a varied play-based program for a wide age range.
• Supervise and support wrap-around care assistants, including rotas and induction.
• Keep children safe by following safeguarding, behaviour, health and safety and first aid policies.
• Prepare and serve simple breakfasts and snacks, managing allergies and dietary needs.
• Build positive relationships with parents and carers and handle queries professionally.
• Keep attendance, bookings and incidents records and assist with payments.
• Work with teachers and school leaders to support wellbeing and additional needs.
