Job summary

Protocol Education is recruiting Wrap Around Care Playworkers to support primary schools across South West London. Roles welcome qualified childcare practitioners and enthusiastic unqualified candidates with experience with children.

Available hours include breakfast club from 7:30am to 9:00am, after school club from 3:00pm to 6:00pm, and potential holiday club hours. We offer flexible work, ongoing consultant support, and opportunities across a range of schools.

Qualifications

• Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years Educator qualifications.
• Experience working with children in schools or similar settings.
• Ability to plan and lead engaging activities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise children before and after the school day.
• Plan and lead engaging games, activities and creative play sessions.
• Support children's social, emotional and physical development.
• Encourage positive behaviour and inclusion.
• Assist with snack times and daily routines.
• Ensure safeguarding and health & safety procedures are followed.

Job description

Are you passionate about working with children and creating fun, engaging experiences outside of the classroom? We are currently recruiting Wrap Around Care Playworkers to support a variety of primary schools across South West London.

We are keen to hear from both qualified childcare practitioners and enthusiastic unqualified candidates with experience working with children.

Available Hours

Breakfast Club

• 7:30am - 9:00am

After School Club

• 3:00pm - 6:00pm

Holiday Clubs

• Additional hours may be available during school holidays.

The Role

As a Playworker, you will be responsible for creating a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable environment where children can learn, play, and socialise.

Duties include:

• Supervising children before and after the school day.
• Planning and leading engaging games, activities, and creative play sessions.
• Supporting children's social, emotional, and physical development.
• Encouraging positive behaviour and inclusion.
• Assisting with snack time and daily routines.
• Ensuring safeguarding and health & safety procedures are followed at all times.

Who We're Looking For

Qualified Candidates

• Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years Educators

• Other relevant childcare qualifications

Unqualified Candidates

• Experience working with children in schools, nurseries, holiday clubs, sports clubs, youth groups, camps, or similar settings
• Positive, energetic, and reliable individuals with a genuine passion for supporting children

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
