Job summary

Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Tissue Viability and Wound Care specialist to join our multidisciplinary team. You will assess, treat and monitor patients, develop care plans and educate patients and carers to promote wound healing.

The role supports clinic operations, deputises for the Senior Wound Therapist when required, and provides leadership to Healthcare Assistants. Essential qualifications include Level 6 degree, nursing diploma and NMC registration, with wound

Qualifications

• Level 6 degree or equivalent in nursing or related field.
• Diploma in nursing is essential for registration and practice.
• You must be registered with the NMC.
• Experience in wound care is preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Assess, treat and monitor patients attending wound clinics with evidence-based care.
• Develop individualised care plans in collaboration with patients and the team.
• Educate patients and carers to promote wound healing and self-management.
• Coordinate with GPs and other services to ensure joined-up care.
• Organise clinic sessions and supervise healthcare staff as needed.
