Job summary

Kemp Recruitment Ltd is seeking a proactive Workshop/Yard Assistant to support the service and maintenance of our rental fleet. The role involves hands-on workshop support, yard duties and assisting with equipment upkeep.

Ideal candidates will have a practical background, a full UK driving licence, forklift licence and CSCS card, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team in a busy plant environment.

Qualifications

• Must hold a full UK driving licence.
• Forklift licence is essential.
• Experience in a workshop or engineering environment is required.
• CSCS card is preferred.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Flexible and positive approach to work.

Responsibilities

• Assist with servicing, maintenance and preparation of rental equipment.
• Support workshop repairs and off-site servicing when required.
• Load and unload equipment within the yard.
• Operate a forklift when required (training provided).
• Record generator hours and fuel levels on return.
• Collect and deliver parts using company vehicles.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
• Follow Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental procedures.
