Job summary

Sammons Recruitment Ltd is recruiting a Workshop Operative to join a busy, supportive team. This hands-on role focuses on servicing, repairs and general workshop duties, ensuring equipment is prepared to a high standard and ready for use.

You will work as part of a collaborative team, follow daily schedules, complete paperwork, and maintain a clean, safe environment while developing practical skills in a fast-paced workshop.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a workshop/manufacturing environment.
  • Basic welding or fabrication experience is advantageous.
  • Comfortable using hand and power tools.
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic computer skills for completing records and documentation.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to your own transport is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out servicing, repairs and maintenance on a range of equipment.
  • Complete workshop tasks safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
  • Undertake basic fabrication and welding where required.
  • Prepare equipment, including painting and finishing work.
  • Complete relevant paperwork and update computer-based records.
  • Follow daily work schedules and prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Operate workshop equipment safely and in accordance with procedures.
  • Carry out inspections and quality checks.
  • Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
  • Support colleagues and assist with additional workshop duties as required.

Key Responsibilities
