Job summary

Liquidline is a fast-growing, family-owned coffee solutions provider in the UK. We are seeking a Workshop Technician in Ipswich to perform pre-dispatch inspections, fault finding, and maintenance within a dynamic workshop, ensuring safety and quality at all times.

Qualifications

• Sound experience as a machine technician in a workshop setting.
• Strong electrical knowledge and awareness of electrical safety.
• Experience using hand and power tools.
• Clear written and verbal communication, ability to work cross-department.
• Problem solving abilities and effective issue resolution.

Responsibilities

• Provide a PDI service on all machines prior to dispatch, ensuring specifications and deadlines.
• Carry out basic fault finding on malfunctioning equipment and liaise with team to repair.
• Keep workshop area tidy and compliant with health and safety guidelines.
• Provide technical support to colleagues as required.
• Spray panels for machinery when needed.
• Stay up-to-date with machine knowledge and use the ERP system daily.

The Responsibilities of a Workshop Technician

• To provide a PDI service on all machines prior to dispatch, ensuring they are to specification and to deadlines.
• To carry out basic fault finding on malfunctioning equipment, utilising problem-solving abilities and liaising with other team members when required to repair machinery.
• To keep the workshop area tidy and within health & safety guidelines at all times, fulfilling a daily cleaning routine.
• To provide support to colleagues on technical expertise where required.
• To spray panels for machinery as and when needed.
• To take responsibility for keeping up-to-date with machine knowledge, and to use our bespoke eagle ERP system on a daily basis.

What You Will Need In the Role of Workshop Technician

• You will need sound experience of working as a machine technician, fixing equipment within a workshop environment.
• Strong electrical knowledge, and awareness of electrical safety.
• Working knowledge and experience of hand and power tools.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work cross department with warehouse operatives, and parts too.
• Problem solving abilities, and able to fix issues effectively.
