Job description

We are looking for a Workshop Technician to join our Workshop Surface Solutions team. This position is full-time and will be based in Blackburn, Aberdeen.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a wide range of Archer Surface Solutions equipment including HPUs, Centrifugal Pumps, and Magnoveyor units.
• Assess technical and personal risk during repair and maintenance processes.
• Ensure all equipment used in support of ARCHER operations is serviceable, fit-for-purpose, compliant with client specifications, and correctly certified.
• Prepare equipment according to maintenance procedures and checklists, ensuring correct procedures are followed.
• Perform pressure testing of Archer equipment.
• Control and maintain spares stock levels.
• Assist in planning equipment allocation and certification.
• Track assets upon arrival and site allocation.
• Lead a safety culture aligned with Archer's five core values, in collaboration with other workshop personnel.
• Support other workshop tasks as required.

Candidate Required Qualifications/Skills

• Recognized technical trade training by industry standards.
• Full UK driving license.
• Experience in hydraulic repair and maintenance.
• Experience in pneumatic (basic) repair and maintenance.
• Pressure testing experience.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings.
• Good computer skills, including basic Word and Excel.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Advantageous Skills

• Experience handling magnetic equipment.
• Centrifugal pump maintenance and repair experience.
• Overhead crane operation experience.
