Job summary

Bennett And Game Recruitment is seeking a Workshop Plant Engineer in Bristol to maintain, service and repair heavy plant in the depot. The role focuses on telehandlers and roto telehandlers, with an emphasis on diagnostics and preventive maintenance.

You will work Monday to Friday, 7:30–17:00, with 23 days holiday plus bank holidays and pension/healthcare benefits, plus routes to progression within the business.

Qualifications

• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems on heavy plant.
• Perform routine maintenance, inspections and repairs to telehandlers and roto telehandlers.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance and repair activities.
• Adhere to workshop health and safety regulations and keep a clean, safe workshop.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine maintenance, inspections and repairs on telehandlers and roto telehandlers.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical and hydraulic issues and implement fixes.
• Document all maintenance work and parts used in the depot records.
• Maintain safe workshop practices and high standards of housekeeping.

Our client is a leading provider of hire equipment across the country and is looking for a workshop engineer to maintain, service and repair heavy plant in their Bristol depot.

The ideal candidate will have background experience of working with heavy plant, the role will be repairing and servicing heavy plant in the depot specifically telehandlers and roto telehandlers.

• Based within a commutable distance of Bristol
• Strong diagnostic skills
• Mechanical and hydraulic knowledge
• Experience working on telehandlers and roto telehandlers would be preferred but not essential

£37,000-£39,000 salary dependant on experience
