VANRATH has partnered with one of Northern Ireland's most established Heavy Vehicle Dealerships to recruit a Workshop Supervisor position.
This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced individuals to join a longstanding company offering many routes for progression.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the depot workshop to ensure smooth functioning.
- Allocate jobs, plan, and execute tasks considering technician capabilities.
- Maximize staff utilization and sold hours to enhance workshop productivity.
- Plan workshop space efficiently for optimal workflow.
- Ensure all vehicles are road tested as required and appropriate.
- Manage holidays and sickness absences to maintain adequate staffing for scheduled work.
- Coach technicians and apprentices to develop skills, knowledge, and capabilities.
- Coordinate with the training department to ensure technician availability for training courses.
- Liaise with the parts department to ensure timely availability of parts.
- Ensure all job cards are signed off with the necessary information.
- Perform quality checks to adhere to 'right first time' standards for service, repair, and PSV.
- Review completed job cards for accuracy and completeness.
- Report defects to customers with quotes provided.
- Challenge technicians on efficiency, hours sold, lost time, and vehicle cleanliness.
- Report maintenance issues within the workshop.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and procedures.
- Perform ad hoc duties as directed by the Dealerpoint Manager or Directors.
Ideal Candidate:
- Strong technical knowledge and background in heavy commercial vehicles (essential).
- Commercial awareness and understanding of factors affecting technician efficiency and utilization.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and adapt to changing needs.
- Valid full driving license.
